Benefits, Eligibility & Income
According to U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, if all requirements are met, the Department of Veterans Affairs determines eligibility for the Aid and Attendance benefit by adjusting for un-reimbursed medical expenses from the veteran’s or surviving spouse’s total household income. If the remaining income amount falls below the annual income threshold for the Aid and Attendance benefit, VA pays the difference between the claimant’s household income and the Aid and Attendance threshold.

“My mom loves living here. The entire staff is kind, patient, and caring according to her. The staff is helpful with family members and is responsive to any and all concerns. I happened to stop by when they were having a Halloween party. They had a pumpkin carving contest, costume contest, musical squares and dancing. There was food and drinks I would serve at my house if I had a party. The activities director put on a marvelous event for the residents and I had a blast as well.“
